Transport Options to the Austrian Alps
Upon arrival in Munich from one of Lufthansa’s 11 US gateways, take a comfortable transfer service to Austria’s mountainside.
- Bus/Van transfer: Let Four Seasons Travel take you from the terminal to your hotel in their fleet of minivans, black cars, and coaches. Normally, the waiting time is a maximum of 60 minutes.
- Train transfer: Austria's ski regions are very well connected by train. Trains to the Alps depart every hour from the central railway station in Munich. Take the S-Bahn train from the terminals to your train.
- Rental car: Of course, there is always the option of renting a car at the airport and departing on a self-guided mountain adventure. Even in winter, the roads are safe and well taken care of. Just make sure to enquire about Austria's toll sticker at the car rental - they are located between Terminals 1 and 2.
